New Info (and Photos) Regarding Dine with Shamu


If you have been following our site for a while, you may know that the "Dine with Shamu" dining experience has been closed to the public since the tragic accident that struck SeaWorld Orlando in February 2010. Well, today we have some additional information and photos regarding the changes that have been done in the area, which is not walled-off any longer. Let's take a close look at what has changed:

First of all, as you can see from the photo above, a new television screen has been installed near the Dine with Shamu area. It will certainly advertise the experience. Notice also the new Dine with Shamu logo, which closely resembles the "One Ocean" logo:

But now, why has this popular dining experience been closed so long? Well, the answer may sound obvious. It is because of the installation of this new special floor. But that's not all. Indeed, according to one employee of the park, the area will reopen a little later than expected because "the paint used to repaint the tank was not water-resistant, so the whole thing had to be repainted again."

That being said, we have been assured that the opening date of the renovated "Dine with Shamu" experience  should be revealed very soon. Stay tuned as we continue to keep you up-to-date on this subject.
