"One More Disney Day"

One More Disney Day is a first-of-its-kind event that will occur February 29, 2012.On that “extra” date, Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland Park in California will be open for 24 continuous hours.
  • Each park will open at 6 a.m. local time Wednesday, Feb. 29, and close at 6 a.m. Thursday, March 1.
  • Each park will reopen at 9 a.m. on March 1 and welcome Guests again  when daily operations resume.
  • The event is open to all Guests with a valid ticket for admission to the respective park on Feb. 29, including annual or seasonal passes.
  • Disney fun and entertainment is planned around the clock for Guests who will attend.
  • Select Merchandise locations will have limited hours, while others will remain open at all times. A limited amount of commemorative merchandise will be available at both parks and is expected to be offered online for 48 hours following the event.
  • After midnight, nearly all attractions will stay open, with a few brief, staggered closures planned for routine nightly maintenance (Attractions that may close include: The Walt Disney World RailroadLiberty Square Riverboat Landing, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, Country bear Jamboree and The Hall of Presidents).
  • Both parks will ensure that at least one restaurant with indoor seating will be open at all times (it will probably be Cosmic ray's Starlight Cafe'). Table service will end around midnight, with a few exceptions. Several Food & Beverage locations will offer a breakfast menu early March 1.
  • Key Guest services at both parks (including transportation, bag check, Main Entrance, Security, First Aid and the Baby Care Center) will be fully operational for all 24 hours.

February 29 is going to be a very special day! While we will not be able to attend the event for the entire 24 hours, we will strive to be at the Magic Kingdom during that special day. By the way, did you know that this is actually not the first time that a Disney Park will remain open for 24 hours or more? In fact, Disneyland Park remained open for a record of 60 hours (from 10 a.m. January 9, 1987, to 10 p.m. January 11, 1987) to celebrate the grand opening of the original Star Tours attraction. It is important to note that One More Disney Day will be the "first-of-its-kind event to take place at two Disney Park locations on the same date."
