i saw some of the SAG awards last evening

saw that the cast of Mad Men won, but Jon Hamm did not win in the lead actor category (i think that was it, i wasnt in the room at that moment)..

found out that i definitely DO NOT like them with beards..half of the guys have grown them over the hiatus

I saw the SAG awards too! I'm hoping that when season four rolls around, Jon Hamm will be back to playing the clean shaven Don Draper we all know and love. The beard must go! (I noticed the actor who plays Henry was clean shaven. It must be why Betty ran off with him. )

Last night on Masterpiece Theatre, we saw the new version of Jane Austen's Emma. It was pretty good. I can't wait to see the rest of it next week!

Yay! Jon Hamm shaved! He's hosting SNL this week with Michael Buble as musical guest. It should be good.

I watched the first hour of the Grammys last night then finished watching Emma on PBS. I really enjoyed it. Of course, now I'd like to see the Kate Beckinsale version again to compare. I think they said next week would be Northanger Abbey, which I've seen but would like to see again.

I started up again with Lost this week. Seriously...how are they going to answer all of the questions by the end of this season?

In the UK (where I have been spending way too much time) I try to watch Hells Kitchen USA where they don't bleep out any of Chef Ramsey's brilliant dialogue.

^^ Ha! That's funny about the uncensored Gordon Ramsay!

And good for you tink on your Partridge Family marathon! That sounds like such fun! With any luck, I might get to see Keith Partidge himself at Epcot in March. ( right now David Cassidy is listed as playing their flower power concert series!)

lucky you! its been a while since i saw him; Rachel saw him at the Food & Wine Festival while she was working there. he came the week after i was there

i have seen him about 5 or 6 times, the anniv of the first time i saw him happens to be this month...on Feb 19, 1972, David performed here in Pgh at the Civic Arena. in the afternoon (on a very cold day, snow and all) he appeared on KQV radio and we went downtown to see him at the windows...it was NUTS but a day ill never forget....i was 15 years old

I remember the first time they tried to make a TV series out of Parenthood. I liked that version. I hope this version does better. It does look cute.

I had to watch Lost last night, but tonight it's back to the Olympics! I love the Winter Games!

Yay for Apolo Ohno! I've been rooting for him! And boo to the Russian guy Plushenko for being a poor sport about getting silver in figure skating. Evan Lysacek had the better performance and deserved gold.

Re:What television shows are you watching? 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 8

oh yes...Evan did an outstanding performance and i was really glad that he was chosen as the winner...often it seems that a blind eye is turned when there is a sentimental favorite...

the ice dancing should be quite interesting tonite as well. i thought that Davis & White had a more interesting program (loved the Middle Eastern flavor!) but the Canadian program was mesmerising...

as for Apolo....INCREDIBLE! i really admire him as an athlete and a role model for young people. i hope he is able to win a gold before the Games are over

i wish that Shaun was in more events, but seeing him win the gold was a definite highlight for me! too bad the curling team is doing so poorly. i really got into that sport at the last Olympics, but Team Fenton isnt playing this time, so its not as good for me as then

and finally bobsledding competition is underway; that is one of my very favorite events to watch. i cant believe its still on for another 7 nights...YAY!

The USA vs Canada hockey game was incredible! ( Sorry NorthernMouse)

I enjoyed watching the ice dancing. Can't wait for women's skating.

These Olympics have been pretty exciting. And I'm glad Bode Miller is taking these games seriously, unlike the ones in Italy. So I'm glad he's doing well.

me too...Bode is a changed man, for sure! i was happy to see him "build" his way to the gold, like he really earned it

do you guys get RetroTv there? we just recently started to get it, and its AWESOME!

Quincy was just on, and before that Marcus Welby, MD. i hope they get Lost in Space someday

some of my other favorites on this network are Emergency! "this is Rampart, go ahead" and The Rockford Files

if you want to see a list of stations in your area that carry it and shows that may be on (it says not all shows listed are on in all markets), here is the link www.myretrotv.com

gotta go...Ironside is coming on!

Re:What television shows are you watching? 5 Months ago Karma: 8

oh man, did you see that race last night!?! soo bogus. that Canadian skater got away with pushing the Korean yet Apolo was dsq and it really looked to me as tho he wasnt pushing that other skater. when they showed the slo-mo, it looked like that person just drifted away, not was pushed

and i thought of this later...remember they said if he had not fall Apolo might not have been dsq? i wonder if that guy figured hey, if i fall and they dsq him, i get a medal anyway coz there are only 4 skaters and 3 medals. i think there should be at least 6 skaters in that race for that very reason....

ROBBERY! im glad that they did win a medal in the relay, but still....

^ I missed his race and I'm glad I did otherwise it probably would've made me angry. I agree it sounds bogus. I did see him win the relay tho. I glared at the Canadians.
I am sooo rooting for the US in the hockey game.

Re:What television shows are you watching? 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 8

did anyone watch Parenthood last night?

i liked it pretty well....very fast moving, a LOT of characters which sometimes i find distracting, hoping it will be more individually story-line oriented once they get rolling.

perhaps it was just that way in the premiere to introduce all of the characters and their stories, and a few interesting ones there are!
