I finally finished Helter Skelter. It was a very good book, really well written. It was also probably the scariest book I've ever read because everything that happened in it was true.

I think I'll pick something light-hearted for my next read.

there are so many great suggestions here on our list. i wish i had more time to read. last week i worked 20 hours of overtime..i am so ready for a day off and none is i sight until next Saturday

Animator, i was thinking about your question on series books; i know its not actually a series per se, but have you ever read Ian Fleming's Bond stories? that is kind of a series. i have never read any of them that i can remember, but i was thinking about it after you posted your note....

I'm currently reading Pat Benetar's memoir Between a Heart and a Rock Place. It's pretty entertaining.

^cant even imagine living the life those ppl did in the 80s!

well, i admit defeat on Needful Things. did not really like it tho I gave it a very decent try (stopped on page 248)

im back to my love, Mr Darcy, reading a trio of books by an author called Pamela Aiden

she wrote 3 books in what she calls the Fitzwilliam Darcy, Gentleman trilogy. now that i have all three, i can start reading them

the first one is called An Assembly Such As This

it starts where the Bingley party arrives at the inn in Meryton for a evening to meet their new neighbors for the first time once Charles has taken Netherfield

The Pat Benatar book was pretty tame. She mainly railed against record company antics.

Now i'm reading Mad Men and Philosophy.

I finished the Mad Men and Philosophy book. It was a tough read but I did it.

I'm not sure what book will be next as a still have a stack of unread ones in my room.

Plum Spooky is about Stephanie Plum, who's a bounty hunter. This book is one in a series about her wacky adventures. Well, maybe not wacky but the book is an easy read. I know they're making a movie of the first book with Katherine Heigl.

I started the HP series again the other week. I blew through the first three and have just now recently started Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

I finished Plum Spooky. It was such a fun read. But I think I'll take a brief reading break now before starting in on another book.
