First I need to re-read "Little Women" for the book club. Then I'm going to try and get to "Magical Mystery Tours - My Life with the Beatles" by Tony Bramwell.

I am reading The Spell of the Sorcerer's Skull. A children's thriller in the Johnny Dixon series by John Bellairs. Cute, but not as good as the Lewis Barnavelt/Rose Rita Pottinger series.

I finished Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. Really enjoyed it. Now I"m reading Little Women for our Book Club. Re-reading it. The other members are bored with it, ???, but I like it. It's one of my favorites.

I'll never finish Little Women before the book club meeting. Luckily I've read it many times before. So I'm going to start reading my Beatles book.

Last night I finished John Bellairs' The Revenge of the Wizard's Ghost, and I'll be starting the next book in the series, The Eyes of the Killer Robot, tonight. These books are excellent for October, very Halloweenish.

^ Congrats on finishing Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife.

I still have three books going at once. The Beatles book, the McKenzie Phillips book and Pride and Prejudice, which I'm supposed to be reading for our book club meeting this month. And I'm not close to finishing any of them.

Re:What book are you reading... NOW? 9 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 8
^thanks, Tina. i agree, its sometimes a bit boring to just read the same book "in a row"

Rachel also does what you are doing most of the time. i dont know how she keeps them straight

im trying The War of The Worlds along with Hell House; its very similar to the movie script, as it Hell House (tho the film has far less words, of course). knowing the story makes it bit easier to follow

have you read P&P in the past? as good as that one is, it is definitely a challenge!

^ I had read P&P a few years ago. So I'll have to rely on memory and the movie to get thru the book club meeting.

I did finish the MacKenzie Phillips book tho! Depressing stuff.

I'm currently tackling Ernest Hemingway's "The Fifth Columns and four unpublished stories from the Spanish Civil War," a collection that includes one play and four short stories.

I'm taking a break from My Sister's Keeper and instead I'm reading Mr. Tambourine Man: The Life and Legacy of the Byrds' Gene Clark by John Einarson. This book is more my type.

Re:What book are you reading... NOW? 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 8
i am FINALLY finished Mr Darcy Takes A Wife. man, that was as long as the original P&P

it went off on a lot of other storylines but it was a very good read, just TOO LONG

i have been wanting a copy of Logan's Run and i finally came across one at half-price books and ive been reading that along with Hell House, which is much more than they made into the movie. Logan's Run is actually just a little paperback.

^ A friend just recommended Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife to me!

I finished the Gene Clark book and now I'm on to So You Want to be a Rock 'n' Roll Star - the Byrds Day-by-Day 1965-1973 by Christopher Hjort.

I'll eventually finish My Sister's Keeper in time for the book club meeting. Maybe.

After Pride & Prejudice, I read My Sister's Keeper. Depressing and sad.
Now onto The Lightning Thief. So far I'm really liking this one. Kinda reminds me of Harry Potter a bit.

I'm reading Victor Hugo's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which is very difficult to read. The book was mistakenly titled that for its English version, when the story focuses more on the author's negative views toward the many changes to Paris's architecture throughout the decades rather than on the story of Quasimodo and Esmeralda. This is why I say it is hard to read. I can only read with enthusiasm so much regarding the noe extinct buildings and sculptures that were one part of Paris and its skyline.
