We got Chinese delivery tonight. We have a very nice and very good delivery service that does great shrimp with Chinese veggies. Yummy!

Rachel and i had spaghetti for dinner tonight since Tim doesnt like it and he is away till tomorrow!

i just ate a Black Jack....love them, and dont find them at many stores these days

i found a new salsa that i really like. its from the Paul Newman line, called Newman's Own Pineapple Salsa

i personally dont like much that is spicy; at Chi Chi's i ate the mild salsa and after only a half dozen bites i had to stop for a while!

this pineapple salsa is really tasty without being hot

We've tried the Paul Newman salsa! I didn't know there was a pineapple one. But we have tried Pace's pineapple mango salsa. That's pretty good too. ( But it is on the spicy side so watch out! )

we had Chinese food today....twice! Rachel and i ordered something for lunch, then Tim called and asked us to order it for dinner

Rachel had General Tso's for lunch and Moo Goo Gai Pan

i had chicken fried rice for lunch and lemon chicken for dinner

Tim had his usual....Hunan Shrimp with hot and sour soup

i love "eating out"!

Rachel was wanting a pizza, so we are baking one in the oven right now...its a Freschetta 4 cheese self-rising one....sounds yummy!

Tonight was Taco Bell night. I haven't eaten there in forever tho.

Rachel just made a batch of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies...so good!

With any luck this weekend, I'll make a chocolate cherry loaf. I got the recipe from the latest Rachael Ray magazine.

Yay! My chocolate cherry loaf turned out great! It was easy to make, but time-consuming.

And Sue made her home-made salsa and guacamole for our veggie tacos. So we ate really well today.

^ wow, those sound soo good! my Rachel gets the Rachael Ray magazine, ill have to see if we have that issue in the basket


at the moment, Rachel is making Shepard's pie from a British recipe book she got on Friday at the half price book store...smells pretty good so far!

Also in the same Rachael Ray magazine, I made the chile-cheese-corn muffins and they turned out delicious! A bit on the spicy side too! The muffins and the chocolate cherry loaf are in the September issue. There's a lot of good recipes in it!

A granny smith apple. I am heading out with some co-workers for dinner. I think it is pub fare tonight which is usually a meat pie and a pint.

I had a double bacon cheeseburger for lunch and nachos for dinner. I'll be eating much healthier the rest of the week.

we had baked sun-dried tomato encrusted tilapia for dinner tonight and some steamed green beans with garlic. Rachel also made a chocolate cake for dessert.

i just ate half a banana (ate the other half earlier) so i didnt have too bad a day

Tonight was magherita pizza and chocolate peanut butter brownies.

i had Multi-Grain Cheerios for breakfast with my tea, and since im off today im meeting Rachel after class for a late lunch at Buca di Peppo's

we are thinking of having a graduation dinner there when Rachel finishes her degree in December. they have great food, and i love the festive atmosphere!

A margherita pizza usually has cheese, tomatoes, basil and olive oil. They're pretty tasty!

I made chocolate peanut butter brownies (granted, from a mix), but oh they taste good!

its Labor Day, and Tim cooked some hamburgers on the grill. i made potato salad and we also had watermelon, cantalope and string beans cooked in garlic butter..yummy!

oh, and pound cake for dessert

I'm eating nachos at home, made with the remaining cheese we had in the house along with chipotle tabasco sauce.

^ that sounds spicy, and im a wimp when it comes to that, but it also sounds good!


we made homemade chicken enchiladas. they were pretty good, but we didnt have the right tortillas so they were a bit too soft

The nachos were good but I discovered that a little of the chipotle tabasco sauce goes a long way. But I can't wait to try it on fajitas!

Tonight we ordered out pizza!

I just had my usual after-school lunch: A sandwich; three slices of ham, two slices of turkey, one slice of Baby Swiss cheese, one slice of Muenster cheese, four slices of tomato and some lettuce, all between two pieces of whole-grain bread with a slight dip of reduced-fat/calories mayonnaise. A peanut butter whole grain snack bar, some mixed-berry Minute Maid juice, an apple and a Yoplait yogurt. Oh, and water! All part of a nutritional lunch. (The excessive slices of ham and turkey are due to the fact that I'm so darn thin!)
