I just lvoed loved loved CARS!!! I thought it was the best Pixar film yet. The animation was by far the best yet. I could not get over the racing scenes, at points they almost looked 3-D. I thought this was the most hear-felt of them all, I actually teared up a few times...I couldn't believe how easily I was able to suspend my misbeliefs about the a land of cars, and take in every bit of heart and soul that they gave me. I thought that Mator stole the show, and I never have enjoyed Larry the Cable Guy. I love the throw-away jokes, the "bugs" and the tractor tipping. It was incredible and I look forward to seeing it a second time to pick up on some of the things I missed the first time around. If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to stay threw the credits...its worth it!!!

It twas and awesome movie! Me a 3 friends (one of them being TheChop_King) went to see it last night. Tractor Tippin' - wow. That was hilarious. "Git-R-Done" :) I am still laughing about that today. Wonderful movie - better than I expected even.

Well I posted what I thought on another board so I'm just going to copy it here.

The animation was definitely some of the best from Pixar. Visually, the whole movie was stunning. The waterfall when McQueen and Sally are driving through the area around Radiator springs took my breath away, especially the view of the town from the top. All of the racing sequences made you feel like you were right there on the track. They did some great work with the camera angles in those scenes.

I thoroughly enjoyed the music for this movie. For me it had some of the best music out of all of Pixar's movies. Great opening song by Sheryl Crow which pretty much sums up one of the themes for the movie. Some great remakes by Rascal Flats and John Mayer. James Taylor's "Our Town" definitely was the emotional song of the movie. It gave you that same feeling as the moment in Toy Story 2 with the song "She Loved Me." Brad Paisley's song "When You Find Yourself", which was in the credits, was also a memorable song.

Very strong story backed up by some very memorable characters. I loved the twists along the way as we find more about Doc Hudson's and Sally's past. Those were definitely two of the characters that changed McQueen's outlook. But who can forget Mater. He was my favorite character and added some of the funniest lines in the movie. Tractor tipping was one of my favorite scenes with him and McQueen. All of the the other characters worked well off each other. Luigi and Guido were a great duo, and the complete opposites Filmore and Sarge were very funny together. I cheered in the end when Guido finally got to work in the pit crew of McQueen and showed up the other pit crew cars.

The ending credits were absolutely hilarious when they were showing scenes of the car version of some of Pixar's movies like Toy Story, Monster's Inc, and a Bugs Life. John Ratzenberger cracked me up! There was also a nice dedication to Joe Ranft which was touching.
Overall, great movie!

Now I really wish I could have seen the credits but my daughter was too tired to sit still anymore so missed them. We were discussing cars in the chat section of the forum. Well not that I needed a further reason to buy the DVD but will have to pick it up day one for the credits.
Not back to WDW until March

There's another thread about Cars here www.disneycorner.com/modules.php?name=Fo...viewtopic&t=8598

I saw the movie today and really enjoyed it. I agree with everyone about the animation. Simply breathtaking. Having just watched Toy Story 2 the other night and now seeing Cars, it seems like Pixar just gets better with every movie.

I also like Tow Mater. When he came onscreen the kids cheered. I think he was more popular than Lightning. I also liked the music too. If I have any complaints it would be that it seems to appeal more to adults than to kids. I mean, there are no kid characters in the movie and the theme of needing friends and people to depend on and taking life more slowly will appeal more to adults than to kids, I think. Just my view anyway. I will say, the audience was filled with little kids and one boy, barely 2 was seeing the movie for the second time this week, and, he sat through the credits 8O So what do I know?

And yes, make sure you stay for the credits, all of them.

Guido seemed to be the "kid hero".

;) Have A Good One!

I saw the movie tonight with my mom and we both really loved it! :D My mom especially loved the tractor tipping scene. Much as I loved Mater, I think I liked Luigi the best. And when Guido's time finally came, the back half of the theater all applauded. It was an excellent movie and the animation was absolutely stunning. I really recommend this film. 8)

And not to rub it in Northern, but the credits were awesome. Hey, you can always catch them on DVD. :) And yes, we stayed till the very end.
