Proposed Attraction: Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles: Syndrome’s Revenge
Location: Disney Studios Park, Orlando FL
Description:
Disney/Pixar’s The Incredibles: Syndrome’s Revenge (known as Syndrome’s Revenge, throughout the description) will be located at the rear of the park, currently used by the Backlot Tour. The shop and costume departments will not be disturbed, but Catastrophe Canyon will be demolished for this new and exciting attraction. The loading area for the Backlot Tour will be closed and refurbished for a new attraction at a later date. The Backlot Tour preshow will remain with the costume and set shops as a small walking tour. Syndrome’s Revenge does not take up the entire area, so space will be left for more Incredibles or other Pixar themed attractions, shops and or shows can be placed here.
The exterior will be a facade will be of Metroville (the fictitious city of the Incredibles). Towering skyscrapers and buildings will blend nicely with the New York Street Area, ultimately rounding out the theme. The rest of the building is your standard box hiding the mechanics of the ride from view.
Story:
Once guest enter the building they find that they have entered Edna Mode’s new downtown studio. Guest chose from either the left or right line. Here guests enter the queue and begin their journey towards the ride. Throughout the queue, guest view multiple superhero suits, as well as video clips of the heroes and their suits in action. As guests approach the ride, itself, they pass the Incredible’s suits, but there are only four…one is missing…its Jack Jack’s!!!! The CM directs guest into rows of two, with appliqué’s on the floor of Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, or Dash. Each guest in the row stands on the character. Once all the guests have been placed, the overhead monitors turn on. Edna Mode comes on the screen…..
“There has been a kidnapping, Darlings. Little Jack Jack has been taken, and we believe it may be Syndrome…., I know, I know, you all though that he disintegrated in the jet explosion, but there have been sightings all over the world of him.” Pictures scroll across the screen of “Buddy” in Paris, Egypt, Russia, Hawaii, and Walt Disney World (complete with too small Disney t-shirt, ears, and ice cream cone). “I have been working with the government to create a fabulous flying machine to transport you to Syndrome’s Lair. We believe that is where he is keeping and possibly using Jack Jack for world domination!!! Now get going…go, go, go….” There is a tap on Edna’s shoulder, she turns, then turns back with a disgusted look, “Oh yes, you have some more information”… The government lawyer comes on the screen and gives the loading, unloading, and safety instructions. While the lawyer is speaking, guests see Edna’s head bopping up and down behind him. She also interrupts him a few times. Just as the lawyer says “Good Luck”, Edna jumps on the table and screams “What are you waiting for …get going and save that precious little darling!!!” The doors open and the guests move into the launching hangar where the coaster awaits them.
The coaster is similar to Six Flags Magic Mountain’s, X, but using the seating of the Flying Coaster.
Guests enter into the loading area, and begin to load the vehicle. Guests walk up to the seat, press their bodies up against the pads, and hold onto the hand guards. CM’s then goes down the aisle and close the shoulder harnesses, which close onto the guest’s back, and the leg cage. Once all the guests are securely into the vehicle they are raised to a flying position. There is no upper track because the track is level with the guests, giving them the freedom of open space, heightening the flying feeling.

The ride vehicle launches straight, and then drops into complete darkness. Going 60 miles and hour, guests “fly” past buildings, homes, an ocean, and then flip as they prepare to enter Syndromes Lair. Guests then “fly” in and out of the volcano, and then around the top, where Syndrome stands with baby Jack Jack. Guests proceed back through Metroville, chasing after Syndrome, twisting and turning, flipping and dropping. Guests pass other heroes like Frozone, coming to the rescue of Jack Jack. The last sequence is a downward spiral around Syndrome and Jack Jack (who has begun to turn a glowing color) then the guest enter into the unloading area, where they see news casts of the Incredibles (with Jack Jack) about their save.
Guests can then enter the merchandise store, obviously filled with Incredibles merchandise and section to view and purchase your ride photo.
Misc: Guests must be 50” to ride and the ride lasts 1: 30 min.
