I just thought it could be interesting to share news about any shows or concerts we have been to. Anything you're excited about - or share your experiences good and bad:)

I was at a Keane concert in Belfast on Friday. They're a band I really like but I have to say I was blown away by just how good they were. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. Sometimes you can tell the band are genuinely feeding off the crowd - this was one of those occasions. It was made even more special by getting pretty close to the band when they performed an acoustic set on a small stage in the middle of the crowd.

I've attached links to some videos I recorded - enjoyB)

I just don't get to concerts like I used to. Truth is, aside from U2 there's no one I really want to see. Or willing to travel to or spend huge amounts of money on. In the past I've seen:
Billy Joel
U2 :)
Smashing Pumpkins
Nirvana :) :) :) :)
REM (1st rock concert)
INXS

and many country music acts. I once saw Destiny's Child getting off stage at Epcot.

Great videos! Thank you so much for sharing! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: I'd like very much to see Keane in concert. Except I don't think they've played anywhere near me.

I've seen the same acts as Sue and I'd like to add SNOW PATROL :) :) :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: and the B-52's. I also saw Soul Asylum before they became "eh." Matthew Sweet was their opening act and he was amazing! :cheer:

As for seeing Destiny's Child at Epcot, I remember thinking at the time at how tiny Beyonce was. Oh, and I saw 98 Degrees ( Nick Lachey's old band ) at the Studios.

And I saw Myron Floren of "The Lawrence Welk Show" at the Strawberry Festival.

^ I'm very, very jealous over your list! Very jealous. I love those bands! And Mark Ronson. But I'm tired of hearing about his sister.

No problem - it's good to share. And Tina, let me know if there are any songs you'd like me to record in March:)

I remember seeing The Editors too - I'm sure I've still forgotten someone though:unsure:

Let me put it this way: you can record anything by them EXCEPT: "Chasing Cars" and "Run." Those have been youtube'd to death. But still, anything recorded from that concert would be most welcome! :) :) :)

i have also seen Phantom of the Opera a few times, once at Pantages Theater in Toronto, when we went on a Girl Scout trip in about 1995 and twice here in Pittsburgh

Rachel really wants to see Les Miserables...she spent of the bus rides to and from her job at The Contemporary Resort'sTempo Grab n' Go/The Contempo cafe reading this book. it is coming to Pgh again this summer, and she is saving up for tickets to see it! :)

I've got a comedy show next Thursday, which I'm really looking forward to. It's a British comedian called Jimmy Carr - he is really good and I'm really looking forward to it:)

19th March. The ticket distributor went out of business so we haven't received them yet. Apparently the venue will have to distribute them instead:dry:

Enjoyed the show - I didn't take any videos because our view wasn't great. I think Take Back the City was the highlight for me.

Glad you enjoyed the show. :) I'll just keep listening to the cds until they make it back over to my neck of the woods. Whenever that'll be.

^how fun!! i always enjoyed him :)

Rachel and i saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang last week as part of the PNC Broadway Across America series

it was quite good. they added a few new songs and the flying car was very cool. the two children who played Jemima and Jeremy gave excellent performances. they were very professional and quite talented. of course, we had to come home and watch the movie again. i have always liked Dick Van Dyke's "Me Old Bamboo" LOL!
